Union Parish OHSEP maintains an emergency alert system known as Rave Alert Notification to notify you of any important or emergency related information obtaining to Union Parish.
Rave Alert Notification is a Community Information Service dedicated to helping you stay connected to the information that matters most to you, depending on your physical location. The State of Louisiana and GOHSEP are excited to partner with Rave Mobile Safety to provide the State and all 64 parishes access to IPAWS via Rave Alert.
As of July 1, 2022, parishes will start to utilize Rave to send out test and live IPAWS messages. Union OHSEP has requested IPAWS registration from FEMA and we are awaiting this information to be configured before going live. Rave Alert can receive alerts from the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS).
The Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) is an architecture that unifies the United States Emergency Alert System, National Warning System, Wireless Emergency Alerts, and NOAA Weather Radio, under a single platform.
